EAR CANDY MAG - FEBRUARY 2011

The Beatles Reunite in 2011
With a Little Help from...George Lucas!

Recently there was an online article about The Beatles reuniting, "courtesy the magic of technology". Well, sometimes truth is stranger than fiction - recently, a disgruntled George Lucas employee leaked the information about the reunion via copies of Lucas' top secret script outlines. The employee had worked at Skywalker Sound and Industrial Light & Magic, the sound and visual effects subdivisions of Lucasfilm.

How, you ask, can there be a reunion with Lennon and Harrison being dead? Simple! John Lennon and George Harrison will be created using holographic images! Each song performed will have the two deceased Beatles "aging", as each song is performed in order of creation. The final song, "Now and Then" - will be performed showing Lennon and Harrison completely aged to match Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr.

The reunion is rumoured to take place at the Hollywood Bowl sometime in 2011, with proceeds going to various charities. There will be no opening acts, although an early draft of the Lucas script had Lynyrd Skynyrd also performing via hologram technology. Instead, there will now be a short holographic debate between Brian Epstein and Allen Klein.
